Please join us for this free winter ecology walk guided by Conrad and Claudia Vispo on Sat., Feb. 9, 2018, 1-3pm at Hand Hollow State Forest in New Lebanon. This walk will be an opportunity to observe the winter life in our landscape. We will traverse a variety of forest types, do some detective work concerning their history, and, depending on the conditions, we might have a closer look at mosses, lichens, evergreen ferns, the dried remains of wildflowers, tree bark and twigs, and/or signs of animal life. Come dressed for the occasion and dive with us into the winter world! Please register here to reserve your space and get directions.
