Please join us for this free winter ecology walk guided by Conrad and Claudia Vispo on Sat., Jan. 26, 2019, 1-3pm at CLC's Drowned Lands Conservation Area in Ancram. This walk will be an opportunity to observe the winter life in our landscape. We will pass an old field, climb through the forest to an overlook, and--if the water is frozen--venture on our way back out through the swamp forest to the edge of the marsh. Along the way, we might have a closer look at mosses, lichens, evergreen ferns, the dried remains of wildflowers, tree bark and twigs, and/or signs of animal life.
