Butterfly Course: postponed

Friday, March 20, 2020 - 07:00

This first (indoor) session has been postponed due to the Corona Epidemic.

In this first of five sessions of the Butterfly Course presented by Farmscape Ecology Program and the Columbia Land Conservancy, there will be an indoor presentation on the butterflies of Columbia County. Specific topics covered will include local butterfly diversity, ecology, phenology, and conservation. This presentation will set the stage for the four outdoor sessions offered later in the year. The presentation will be in Harlemville, NY.

To register for this event, email Dylan Cipkowski at dacipkowski@gmail.com or call 518-672-7994. We encourage you commit to attending all five sessions of this Butterfly Course and will give preference to participants who do so.

The four outdoor sessions are planned for:

Saturday May 23rd   Spring Butterflies of Open Woods and Rocky Barrens. Taconic State Park, Copake Falls, NY.

Sunday July 19th    The Butterflies of Wet Meadows and Fields. Overmountain Conservation Area, Ancram, NY.
